This is probably joke thread, but I also liked Final Fantasy XIII a lot. I wish Square made more console games this gen though and that XIII actually did'nt take so long to come out. I liked it, but it wasn't exactly a game worth all the wait.
Well it's a joke thread in the sense of I made it because theres been a little SE hate on the board lately, and I've been playing FFXIII and FFXIII-2 pretty hard the past few weeks.
I can understand all the FFXIII hate, it has a LOT of flaws, and a lot of series pedigree to live up to. Still a decent JRPG by any means. I'm mainly just a sucker for great visuals. I'm of the opinion a gorgeous game can be more forgivable of it's flaws, while I can't palate an ugly game even if the gameplay and mechanics are solid (first game I can think of in this category is Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. Gameplay was a almost like a 2d Devil May Cry, wonderfully coded and balanced, but the art was just so so so shit I couldn't play the thing very long.)
And yeah, I have low standards when it comes to games. I enjoy
most games I end up playing. Guess it's a leftover from my childhood, when gaming was the absolute best thing in my life, yet I had such a small number to play. I learned to appreciate almost anything!
