that might be me? sounds like a name I'd use but I was on last night to play mario and send out friend requests through miiverse.

it's been a year since I messed with account stuff and the Wii U doesn't throw it in your face like on PS3/360. I'll check later tonight.

edit: checked, and yeah, that's me. there are three accounts and it seems I've been logged into the wrong account since last year and never noticed. switching now and I'd lose like 90 cents worth of virtual console games! and randomdude seems to be the name of the Mii, so it works like steam where you have an account name and username?

anyone know if online games show your mii/username or nintendo network ID?

Your mii username in some games (like Wii sports club, probably in future games that use Miis too - perhaps Mario Kart) but your NNID is displayed in others (like COD, rayman etc). I believe the profile search in miiverse allows you to find someone by searching either now, and partial name searches work too
