time to buy your own espresso machine. Yelp say's there ain't shit open near you except a starbucks in Seattle thats open till 2am.

I just made a green coffee latte and am enjoying the crap out of the foamy goodness.

Glad you're enjoying it, it takes time to get it right. I found that a thermometer works wonders in helping with learning some of the hard stuff with milk and steam. Also when you use your plunge on your shot a small little twist right at the end of your press will work wonders to the taste of your espresso.

Yeah, I'd have just hopped on a bus into Seattle if I weren't missing a front tooth. The espresso machine and learning to make coffee myself is something I should really buckle down and do if/when I ever get a real apartment.

i don't drink milk anymore so that smooths out the learning curve quite a bit :lol

I have a thermometer that i used for milk drinks with my old machine years ago but it is such a pain in the ass to look at it while fiddling with the steam knob and the wand. I basically gave up on that stuff and just 'waved milk in a glass and used an electric frother instead.

I've been swilling a disturbing (to me) amount of coffee recently.  Yellow teeth.  :yuck

I can't think of any good coffee that is still open at 12:30 am in the city...

Also, TOKYO BORE TAKE NOTE. You guys have a couple Zoka shops in the megalopolis. Seriously legit coffee from Seattle.

Bauhaus is good, and as soon as I sent that response I thought to myself, "I bet Bauhaus stays open that late."

I'd be down for a seattle-hipster-bore meetup @ Bauhaus sometime btw, preferably after I've regained the ability to conceal my meth habit

If I'm going to Capitol Hill, it's for Quinn's or The Pine Box.

Quinn's has great food. Don't get up to CH much, what the kiddo and all. Most of my time out is spent close to home North of the cut.

If you are seriously jonesing for coffee frequently, get an Aeropress.

Cormacaroni posited that heat and plastic will have bad effects on your health, but shots of espresso-like coffee in 30 seconds or less will give you superpowers, so it's kind of like being Roy Batty.

there is one across the street from the office that i theoretically still work in but i don't recall it being especially good. I get all mine from a specialist roaster online...they have crazy good stuff and roast to order.

Weird. Zoka is seriously top-tier stuff. Strange that the Tokyo locations (which are sublicensed) wouldn't be as good. Em and I are planning on check it out when we're in Tokyo next April (2014).
