Other wounds included slashes or stabs to the face and the side of the head. There was also evidence of "humiliation" injuries, including a pelvic wound likely to have been caused by an upward thrust of a weapon, through the buttock.

He was probably double-parked too.

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the parking lot buried.

He's the inspiration for one of Shakespeare's most memorable villains.  That's it really.

Why is this such a big deal? How many people knew who Richard III was before this?

Pretty sure I heard it some where that 0.5% of the worlds male population is descended from him.

The Business doesn't pay attention to such low culture drivel as the works of Shakespeare or Sir Laurence Olivier.

Ian Mckellen's version of Richard III is really strange and great.  I was going to post a clip but then I found this instead.  He should do one of these for every question that's ever been asked on the internet.

George RR Martin has also said Tyrion Lannister is loosely based on Richard III
