Konami cancels games

Japanese retail sources report that Konami has apparently cancelled the development of five PlayStation 3 and two Wii games. These seven games include two RPG titles, which were originally set to appear on PlayStation 3 and the Wii. Following this drastic move, Konami apparently is only working on seven next-gen projects (three for PlayStation 3, four for Wii, zero for the XBox 360).

I'm ripping my fucking hair out right now. THIS BETTER NOT INCLUDE SUIKODEN VI.

Konami is a fucking joke outside of a couple big franchises (which are losing popularity). They won't survive the next gen unless they merge with someone, especially once MGS4 doesn't make back the millions pumped into it (assuming it's PS3 exclusive)

I like me some Gradius, but from what I understand that chapter has closed? Not that I care a WHOLE lot. Got Gradius V on PS2 and the Gradius Collection on PSP. A new ZoE would be nice, 2nd Runner was so good.

Don't know about that. Their franchises are losing popularity but their games still hit me more than most other developers when they get shit right. Because MGS3 sold less than MGS2 doesn't mean shit, because it's the 3rd best game of the generation.

Don't know about that. Their franchises are losing popularity but their games still hit me more than most other developers when they get shit right. Because MGS3 sold less than MGS2 doesn't mean shit, because it's the 3rd best game of the generation.

because you love the games doesnt mean they arent making as much money as needed. MGS is not that huge of a franchise anymore, and Castlevania is just for the hardcore.

Konami is a big player, but the gaming demographic it appeals to is far more focused than say...Capcom who will make a game for anyone.
