Bioshock is a mediocre FPS from a pure gameplay standpoint. The presentation and the way the gameplay is integrated into the story and what the developers are trying to say is what makes it good. The reaction to the game, however, is incredibly overblown. Spec Ops: The Line is also massively overrated due to the meta angle. If more games made better attempts at meta commentary both these games would be pretty much forgotten. As of now we're stuck with those two, with The Line being an incredibly stupid, juvenile example and Bioshock being a decent one.

I agree with everyones complaint about the original Bioshock, hell I've talked about this before in the Bioshock Infinite thread. I loved Bioshock for what it was in everything but gameplay, which was serviceable but more of a means to an end. As far as Infinite goes, so much better, so so so much better! I love the gameplay in this a thousand times more than the first or even the superior gameplay wise second.But let me guess, Himu wants to forklift, Momo wants to Uguu, Esch wants shitty b level mass effect? For guys knocking on Bioshock for gameplay, you sure seem to put some mediocre not even amateur porn pussy on the pedestal instead.

real talk: bioshock and shenmue are both games, even if you're the sort that makes those kinds of infantile distinction. they're also both decent games that tend to be massively oversold by their fans, which tweaks some people and causes them to be undersold by those not in the fan category.fuckin gamers man

No new game+ was the biggest problem with DEHR....And now it's fixed with the superior Wii U version.
