In my business, this would be treated as if a fatality has ocurred. So there needs to be a corrective action taken to insure it can never happen again.

I really don't have a problem with having been banned considering that the site has been broken or I've been working for a majority of this ban.

It's like, when someone gets banned right before E3, and everyone makes a mention of it. Then you realize it doesn't matter because the site is a nonexistent wreck during E3.

Jokes about Nintendo Direct breaking GAF aside, apparently it had its most visitors ever today. I was surprised by that, but apparently in addition to a Direct and GTAV Online launching, Reddit linked a thread about Half-Life 3.

And just in case anyone reads into that something I didn't intend -- and I've mentioned this before -- there's no bitterness there. I think it's much better as a volunteer position. Unless I was getting a salary that is way beyond what I'd actually deserve, being a forum moderator would be a shitty paid position. As is, it's just an "exercise your best judgement" position, which is far preferable to the responsibilities that would come along with financial compensation.
