Kinda takes away part of the charm of a long term relationship if you don't have to learn all those things yourself, and just follow a guide with handy tips&tricks.
Without getting down and dirty, without actually going out there and riding the bike, without learning through failures, well, in my opinion, you'll never grow up.

Yes, it might be small things, that if you had learned about might have saved you some trouble, but if you go unscathed through relationships, and encounter a big problem - one to which there are no answers out there on the internet - then you're left with no personal experience you might take advantage of and extrapolate from.

Seth seems like a sincere person but that stuff is so misguided.  Taking money from others and then giving it away so he can take a victory lap in the name of his dead brother?  I don't think he means ill, I think he's found a source of positive attention that feels good and is hard to let go of.

My closest friend died of cancer 10 years ago and I became the center of the universe for a month or so after.  His family, all our circle of friends, suddenly all of their attention was on me.  Being in the limelight like that is addictive even when it's due to tragic circumstances.  And then as people begin to move on with their lives you have to adjust.

If someone doesn't have a great support structure or convinces themselves the world is better without them, they've already dealt with the "people will miss me" angle in their head.

I'm saying having parents who loved me gave me greater perspective about the issue. For people in shitty situations I can't imagine how feeling worthless from various angles other than yourself can make the feeling worse.

Unsympathetic or not, doesn't change anything. The act itself is selfish, the person may not realize it or may not be able to realize it, but it's still the way it is. At least in my mind.

Back to evilore's idiocy. I played football at a very large D1 college...had a few fans. For the most part most people are pretty good about the whole space thing. You will always have one or two fucknuggets that will bother you in class or chase you down while you are on a date....(hell my wifr and I still laugh about the guy who chased on down on a jetski when we were out boating with friends)

I suppose gaffers probably don't understand that and are already socially weird and that could be annoying. But why go to europe seeking them out then? Why crash nerd parties on both coasts?
