What I am saying is that being friends with a girl is by far the best way to get to know her, and it could lead to something. If it doesn't that's fine, but you gain a lot of experience and you learn how to act around a girl in a way that isn't TITIES! all the way. If something develops with the girl you're into, great! If not, move on now and don't be the hook. Cause that friendship can develop into either one being the simp fast which kills the friendship fast than being rejected and moving on.

In other words, the friend zoned are as much responsible for their lot as their Romeo/Julia. Though 'responsibility' isn't always the right word in the latter's case, as they simply might not be aware at all.

Sorry but plenty of people on GAF don't understand simple social skills as evidenced by how big some threads get involving women who want to be left alone on trains, women who cover their drinks up and generally not understanding boundaries.

A lot of it comes down to narcissism.  A lot of gaffers, enlightened by their intelligence, natch, assume that women want to go spread eagle for them just because they happened to be in their presence.  Or, if they only lost <x> pounds and have more <y> (whether this be money, expensive shoes, etc.), they can just walk up to any woman anywhere and start hitting on her, to sexy results.

If you say that you can't hit on a woman at a bookstore or a subway, that means that she may always be unattainable, which cannot stand.  That would mean that they're not the uberstuds they think they are (or could easily be, if they weren't too busy of course) which causes some feels.

A lot of them just lack the social graces and awareness.  They know that, which is why they hang back and don't do anything, but then they resent the people who do have social awareness.

I'll be honest, I've been approached by women I found unattractive before and I've scoffed at them or just get really annoyed and avoid them. It can be an awful thing to do but I don't do it when the person seems nice enough cause that usually goes "sorry I'm not interested" and we go our separate ways. The female equivalent of the "Nice Guys" are fucking bothersome as all hell, its this "I'm being aggressive and you're a guy you're supposed to sleep with me" mentality that just annoys me.

That's not often at all, so I can't imagine how a girl who probably gets hit on more times walking to the bathroom than I do in a year must feel. Which is probably why I've been afraid to approach a girl even if I've sensed a modicum of interest from her side. Meh, glad i don't have to worry about dating anymore, at least not if I can help it.

I don't really make any pre-judgements about people but I know I would be such a huge bitch if I was a girl. As a guy, being talked to by somebody who feels entitled to your penis because they're being forward is pretty disgusting but at least it's rare to meet someone like that.

In all honesty running into these people is rare save certain times and occasions and they're assholes who don't pretend to be anything else. GAF is full of people so full of shit about how they're approaching women for either sex or a relationship with an entitled attitude. Call them on this and instead of just owning it they fall back on some bullshit rationalizations, calling women uptight or just plain pretending "all they wanted was a friendship." At least the douchebags on the street won't double down in sanctimonious horse shit about their intentions.

The Wii's success has made Ntards completely forget about the GameCube. That system had a 3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid, SSB...and still came in dead last. None of that is going to save the WiiU either. I'm sure the WiiU have a big November/December sales spark and will stabilize to some degree next year, with a price cut and Mario Kart/3D Mario/etc on the shelves. But like the GameCube it won't be enough.

BUT if you're both in the African American literature section, overhear her ask a clerk if they have Invisible Man ("sorry, we don't but you can order it at our online store"), then you casually say "they should just rename this section 'black romance paperbacks' to get rid of the confusion...." well my man, you just might find yourself getting her number.
