I don't know if I would count 'female guest vocals on techno tracks' as artists really. Might as well drop orbital in that list if that's the case. Even still, it's really slanted towards dudes, especially when talking influential artists.

I wish I could dig up the specific video but she did a live version of cocoon with matmos as her back band that was one of the most intimate live performances I have ever seen.

I don't know if you know much about Matmos or not, but the weird crinkle-static beat on the track was created by one of the guys running some weird microphone all over the other guy's back/head. Was very unnerving and beautiful to see it happen as a part of the performance.

Crystal Castles is a bit more punky. I'm not sure if gender really matters if you're talking about music that is meant to sound so synthetic, Alice Glass is a total babe though.

wait - I don't really care for the Dancer in the Dark soundtrack, forgot about that one
or rather, I like the tracks that sound like Homogenic outtakes, I don't like the ones that are trying to be showtunes

Well I certainly took my time but here's some of my favorites, from easier listening to less easier:

Too many in one post? Whatever. I could post more but I don't feel like it. These are really the only female vocalists that I really, really like. But there are those that I really like and like as well but mainly I usually listen to male vocalists in all genres. The hairier, the better.

Anyway I find all these voices soothing as hell. And I fell in love with Emma Ruth Rundle last time I saw Red Sparowes live. Partly because of her shoes.
