The Captain Obvious' who are calling out the character design could just acknowledge that they're not the target audience and move on. These are fantasy characters who are quite clearly meant to be fantasy characters. Besides the character designs, they're actually proactive and, gasp, playable protagonists.
It's the portrayal of women in AAA games that aim for a certain amount of realism and sell to millions that are much worse i.e. the cold ass bitches, the mission support chick, the defenseless girly girl, the new lara croft...and all the scenes in which bro-dudes need to rescue them. and they're rarely playable. These are not the people you need to take the sexism awareness mission to--they're never going to speak to women or be in positions of influence in society.
