Keep in mind that there are a lot of seriously salty anti-GAF people in this thread, including the creepy asshole who account suicided earlier today,

Someone just sent me that on FB heh.. And there was me starting to feel bad about blaming him for other peoples' shitty posts
I wasn't anti-GAF for 9+ years (which is only not a colossal waste of time because of the real life friends and connections I made thanks to it)... If it stays the way it is though, I sincerely hope he eventually gets the loyalty the forum currently deserves. Not that I'll be particularly bothered if it continues to line his pockets through ads and the thousands of squabbling posts a day that accompany them.
Seems the feeling of good riddance is mutual. Shame we couldn't have met in real life, maybe I'd have had the honour of being his 1001st fight!
Some of us just wish the place was run better. maybe it was the dream that there could be a huge, but mature gaming discussion site? As borderline aspie as that sounds, I think that's what I originally joined for-- that perception that GAF is above say, gamefaqs. It is sometimes, just like gamefaqs can be cool sometimes, but otherwise, a lot of the weird circle jerks are exactly the same, complete with the covert futa/loli dudes. I would still like to chat there since every poop miyamoto takes is documented by a thread, but the culture is pretty bizarre.
I feel like the smaller size of this board makes for some better discussions, along with the understanding that we all fuck with each other every once in a while or all the time or whatever lol, though sometimes I wish there were a lot more people so it wasn't as obvious that i post too damn much.
in reality, shittiness is probably just an unavoidable consequence as the number of posters goes up. At some point, you'd have to have a bunch of paid mods to keep the quality straight. which is why i say he should just sit the fuck back, maintain the status quo, and continue rolling in the ad bucks, rather than making these weird ad hoc proclamations.
