Regarding Seth C, I don't have a problem with what he is doing.  I don't see anything wrong with bilking morons on the internet out of their money because they think it is going to a higher/good cause.  It's just some dude sauntering around the country for free handing out $500 tips that he didn't have to pony up for himself.  It did get out of hand and it is pretty clear he is milking it.  I can see why, this is probably the only notable thing he is ever going to do in life.  After a while, people are going to get sick of it but GAF is a hugbox so good luck calling him out and remaining unbanned.

No, it was just the icy cold hand of truth bitch slapping the internet and NeoGAF in particular.  There are more than a few people over there who think NeoGAF excels at DEEP DISCUSSION.   Whitta's statement pretty much just slapped it down.  This obviously cannot stand.  A decently known yet shitty screenwriter's off hand comment hit a little too close to home.  Meus Renaissance's efforts have all been in vain!

It's weird to me that the forum is basically owned by someone with the time and means to make it much better but sits pretty stagnant. I guess when people keep posting and there is no pay structure there really is no incentive to. I don't think it needs to be a full fledged gaming site a la 1up or anything but some stuff could definitely be overhauled.

I lost a lot of early sigs because one host decided to do a server reset/domain change and I lost everything. That Hellsing sig was actually my first animated gif. I had to teach myself how to manipulate keyframes and draw the blood frame by frame. I was really proud of that at the time.

Oh please, that was just the first xbox. It's sort of fair to say that the xbone (the new one of course) is a new entertainment media thing and it's hard to justify buying it to us gamers who mainly look at the games thing but wtf knows what value it'll have.

If it plays what I want for vs price I can tolerate for however long console generations will last now and for a not rape-me-in-the-college-kid-ass price, then it's fine. If it's in the same ballpark as the difference between PS3 and xbox360 then that's good (but best case scenario).

Personally, I don't have any desire to get any console in the first year since no launch  exclusives with amazing potential have really been announced.

We all know the first couple years of a console launch are meaningless beyond jerking off in flame wars. Sadly we're all aware and suspend that but I know I'm most definitely able to hold off for buying a console I'm totally unable to afford at the moment.

Now I can't care any less about review scores BUT with that 7.5 amidst the higher scores, is there an ulterior motives here? I see people claiming being sponsored by MS/Xbox so is there reason to call bullshit? I mean, can't Naughty Dog investigate, are there laws being broke or is this standard practice?
