Yep. You're either interested in the challenge, or you're not. And if you're not, just say so. EXCEPT (to engage in some rampant speculation) he's built up such a "zen master" persona to himself and among his followers, that he probably feels he can't just say "naw, pass." If it was really a desire for it to be a money-making venture, he could certainly throw some promotion on GAF for it, I'm sure lots of people would throw money in a hat there. Except then it becomes a "big deal" and he stands to lose even more face should he lose in embarrassing fashion.
