As much as I like TNA in basically anything. There's (well tasteful may not be the word to use, but I'm going to use it) more tasteful way to do it then that MGS5 chick.
MGS had tna before.
Sniper Wolf had a giant cleavage window. But she was a sexual Russian sniper, so whatever. It went with the overly done action movie tone.
Eva in 3 had a giant cleavage window, but hey she's a sexy spy in a James Bond/60s spy send up game.
And in both these examples, it's not like their outfits were that out of place.
And that's really all I want when it comes to TNA. I've got no problem with it, but jesus be a bit more discreet and less depraved with it.
That MGS5 girl's CG render looks terrible. She looks completely dumb. Even her face looks like she's disgusted.
But another problem that movies don't have the games have is that there aren't enough non-tna infused games about females for females with female characters to balance out the tna infused ones. Even when they do make a game with a supposedly "strong" female character they can't help but make her sexy and I don't mean simple good looking girl. The new LAra Craft was supposed to star in this new game that could have been a perfect example of a good female character and for the most part probably is and females probably don't mind playing as her. But jesus even her toned down boobs are huge and very dominant. And it was just like why? This is a reboot, you didn't have to do this, she was already a attractive character without DDS.
I mean I don't mind TNA, but I also like when I get something that dosen't have it. I like seeing female characters that aren't made to be super sexy. It's why I dislike that they added boob jiggle to Lightning in XIII-3. Yes, not the best character, but she was good enough and attractive enough without being overly overly sexualized. It's a good design. She was attractive and looked tough and sounded tough. But I guess that wasn't good enough, because now we have to put her in even skimpier outfits and bigger more bouncy breasts for no other reason, but to sell DLC. There's a time and a place for this stuff, but I'm not always in the mood for porn. Sometimes I like something like say Winter's Bone and games can't provide that.
Even comic books aren't this bad. Superhero comics can have skimpy sexy outfits, but a good portion of them(X-men, Batman) can provide good female characters that are endearing beyond their chest. And when you look outside of that genre, sure you can find strange really pervy comics, but also stuff from vertigo and image that dosen't have that stuff at all.
