I posted a few times in the law thread. I remember peterboy. Insufferably prissy, white (maybe Latino?) conservative prone to a too strenuous attempt at being a brotha. Like a dunderhead dialectic. He's at NYU, should be a 3L now, had middling grades, which wouldn't leave a lot of great prospects. 2008 changed the dynamics for all law grads, even T14. Better be top 25% at a T14 if not at HYS. If I remember, he didn't get an offer from Big Law for his 2L summer so he's essentially fucked. HYS and Cornell/higher-rank NYU grads will eviscerate him when it comes to attaining associate positions in midtown. He's gonna tumble towards the left end of the bimodal pay curve. Big Law's contraction has ended the chances of middling performers at T14 schools. He pm'ed me once with some tetchy callback to a post concerning a college friend of mine who went on to attend YLS. peterboy made an impression, lol. Law school, smh.
Kanye: If he's a victim of anything, it's his smarmy asslicking white audience (same for Eminem, but predominantly irate bro-trash). No wonder so many of them are confused by Charlamagne and Sway; even Jay Smooth has gone into Kanye a smidge. They're used to taking their cues from the fawning of the likes of Zane Lowe and Pitchfork. It's fascinating: Lowe commiserating with Kanye over racism; Charlamagne dubious of the struggles of a multimillionaire. Why Kanye desperately wants the acceptance of haughty white couturiers and valley tech arrivistes mystifies me. He doesn't need them. His talent, intelligence, and celebrity transcends their constraints. Ignoring the insecurities and garbled metaphors, surely he knows that?

Yep, remembered him:
