Yeah, reddit's asoiaf forum is pretty great. Westeros is too interested in romance and mysteries (Jon's mother shit) than actual discussion. It's also a fantastic source for news without wading through multiple forums.

That's another thing that someone (that was deeply a redditard) told me, but I don't follow reddit closely to know so I wasn't there for that drama.

I did however stop going to reddit outside of porn needs now and then. Their amateur porn subreddits are still alright.
