I think both terms are considered offensive, but I'm reasonably sure dwarf is the more offensive of the two.  Certainly got a greater reaction when I used it on the Radioshack midget.

that was probably an exception. i've never seen a dwarf offended by dwarf and they commonly call themselves that. but you see famous dwarves fighting the word midget quite often - especially more prominent ones like Peter Dinklage and Warwick Davis. it's one of those words I've taken out of my vocab. Some (hopefully) constructive ideas that come to mind out of this thread are that there should perhaps be a way for men to get practice and feedback in a safe environment, where their mistakes don't leave other women in a state of emotional distress. One way to do this could be having classes in school with slightly older women giving feedback and spelling out exactly what is going on at each stage of the interaction. I know this sounds awkward and silly, but it's meant to make actual future interactions less awkward for women, and less emotionally upsetting for men.

Heh. I don't mind the time differential or whatever the fuck he's talking about, but I would say it's not really worth the time if you're only cooking for one (especially some big meal.)

That said, I have been cooking more lately, about 2-3 days a week. Usually just meat though, like a steak or  some ham. Baby steps.

To be fair: They didn't know they were giving people HIV due to the tests/etc. not being there at the time. But as soon as rumors started and they developed a new drug that killed the virus/improved the original, they should've stopped selling the original. Bayer should be taken to court or something (too bad the statue of limitations are gone now) over that: The fact they knowingly sold the original instead of ceasing is what makes my blood boil about the entire thing.
