So what I'm making of this whole CBOAT brouhaha with more information in front of me is that ekim was outed as the guy who fed this L4D3 info to CBOAT.

Instead of rehosting the images that ekim sent to CBOAT, CBOAT just reused the links given to him and that's how ekim was outed even though some people jumped to the conclusion that this meant ekim = CBOAT.

ekim was CBOAT's source for the L4D3 screens, but ekim is not CBOAT.

CBOAT's anonymity is still intact.

It really sucks that ekim was outed, but that's the risk you take when you play with this stuff.  Only reason I'm openly talking about it here is that others already have let the cast out of the bag on Twitter and such, it's out there.  I hate seeing people lose jobs over this kind of shit.

Funny thing is, I initially gave this blog the benefit of the doubt because Kevin Dent linked it.  I knew misterxmedia was wrong about ekim being a mod due to the lack of a red name and knew that his conslusions were ridiculous, but I thought he was right about ekim being CBOAT before looking deeper into it and getting some better info from some other sources.  After all, at least that part of his blog was just repeating what others had said on GAF.  I know lots of people have given Kevin Dent shit but he's been right about a lot of things like when he broke the news about THQ going under.  This has put a major dent in his credibility IMO.
