Which NBA Gaffers were perma?I've lurked there over the years, so I'm familiar with Ninja Scooter, Reillo, DyNasty, etc. I've always fond Sports community hard to break in. They tend to be very insular by design. Communities in general are.
The funny thing is if someone goes and fucks up a gaming thread they are banned and everyone gets to cheer on. But do it in a specific community thread? Run to the mods and get it shut down.
Regarding this, I can't claim perfect consistency or that I continue to watch threads like a hawk, but as a general rule that IS discouraged anywhere. Like, if I ban a shitty poster like nudemacusers and notice that people are cheering this move and gloating about how that poster got served (or insert another, more hip phrase there instead), I'll delete those posts at a bare minimum. This isn't in any way meant to undermine your commentary on what goes on in community threads. I'm just saying in general that sort of cheering on (or grave dancing as it's sometimes referred to) isn't something we try to encourage.
