shower every 4-5 days brehs

 :picard

girls smell down there though brehs

 :gurl

yeah the girls do uhuh

That's the guy that posted the ghost sex thread, so he may be trolling. It's this paleo-showerer guy, I'm not so sure about.

You could be upsetting the pH and ionic/salt balance of your skin. Since you're constantly flushing and resetting the conditions, it could end up making you more stinky than if you allow as nature intended.

Did our ancestors have such ready access to water in the past? I say nay.

Quote
If you shower too often, you risk irreparably damaging your skin. Friction from water, soap, and whatever else you do will constantly be peeling away layers of dead skin cells.

I'd compare it to washing your teeth too soon or too often. At some point, the seemingly productive endeavour because counter-productive as you begin to waste away the enamel.

Quote
I'd also like to point out that the pipes in your home are probably decades old.

Have you ever once cleaned them? Usually, the water you run through the showers is unlikely to be at boiling temperatures (high enough to kill bacteria).

Thus, the warm temperatures will provide a perfect environment for fomenting production of mold, bacteria, pathogens, etc...

So you are essentially bathing under a siege of microscopic proportions. If you shower more than once a day, you enable more opportunities for attack.

I'm pretty sure this isn't true, or if it is, you'd have to literally be brushing every 10 minutes or something.

Generally speaking, "our" generation (which is to say, people 16-35 right now) are very skeptical of God (relative to the previous generation) but still fully invested in free will.

As an entity, free will is something that allows one to "overcome" neurological disorders like depression, alcoholism, overeating, and anxiety. You just will your way through those things.

I think this is why such a comparatively large part of our generation is libertarian, as that plays directly in to the fundamental precepts of libertarianism: God is not relevant to the ideology, but a concept of free will certainly is.

Opiate's post is weird, there were/are plenty of religious people who don't believe in mental health via psychiatry/medicine and instead think people are supposed to "pray" stuff away or find their answers in scripture.

There's a Skies of Arcadia HD?

On Partnernet, yes. Just like Shenmue 1/2 were on Partnernet. Never gonna release though.

I know there's an image out there that had it and Skies both on the recent played list. It's an old old rumor (2010) and obviously developers aren't going to come forward and go "Yeah it's on the secret XBL network" for obvious reasons, but there you go.

I realize there's some goodness in all of us, but as a society we've all exposed and degraded ourselves to a much more demanding and exploitive culture. If you want to assure me that everything will calm itself down in the future than I might think differently. I think we are still pointing fingers and fighting back at one another. Things may of changed, but we haven't accomplished much. We're just correcting each other's mistakes in a proxy universal fashion.

Those arguments always piss me off to no end. By every objective measure this is the most prosperous, free, and least vicious time in human history. The fucking vanity to think you actually live in trying times.

I kinda feel like if we're living in a generation where some of the biggest arguments are about which toy is the best or whether somebody spelled a word correctly, then we're probably better off now than at really any other point in human history.

You guys are just buying all the lies and feel good propaganda from places like: http://humanprogress.org/

The reality is that there is more human suffering today than at any other time in history, not only are consoles and legitimately intoxicating games struggling at the marketplace but if I even look at a girl on the subway she'll cry rape against me. And all this on top of the fact that I can't find a good high rise walk up apartment in Manhattan for under a million dollars despite a fashion and journalism degree that I'm $360,000 in debt for because of the standards of clothing I have to wear to make it in that kind of work.

And don't even get me started on how much pressure there is to drink alcohol (which is disgusting) at bars to "have a good time" they've been so brainwashed by their corporate cultural masters. None of these were problems before agriculture and the rise of the city-state. You were free to gambol among plain and forest with endless (and free) abundance granted by the harmony of nature.

Bah I can see both sides. Having worked with welfare/section 8 families, I know there are a lot of cases of parents with very little experience, support systems, or general knowledge of how to raise kids; not saying that applies to all parents in the programs. Allowing them to purchase sugary drinks and fast food only increases cases of diabetes, cavities, etc, which the state pays for, and the kids grow up with poor health that follows them to adulthood.

On the other hand, anyone who has been to an inner city or rural areas knows that grocery stores aren't as readily available as they are in other places. You can randomly drive around certain parts of Detroit and not find a grocery store within 20 miles. But you'll find dozens of fast food places and convenience stores. In a perfect world healthy food would be readily available, but that's not the situation on the ground.

At the end of the day food stamp spending is such a small portion of the budget that anyone who gets upset or outraged over seeing kids buy pop or energy drinks is an idiotic. And probably borderline racist.

If junk food causes poor people to die from things like obesity, and diabetes, then shouldn't conservatives be in favor of it?  ???

it'd be more efficient to give them more guns

they like money and gun rights more.  they'd rather they buy a gun and shoot themselves than die slowly by wasting money.
