There's a lot about the WOWTCG card game (which I have played for years) that doesn't translate well into the kind of experience they are looking to deliver here. It's clear that they used the existing card game as a base for the ruleset and design (class-based decks, some of the keywords are the same, etc.) but being digital means they aren't slaved to questionable decisions that the card game makers might make in the future/have already made.

And believe me UDE/Crypto has had some card designs that would not have been made by Blizzard. Having independence from the physical product here is important.

did you try this? it's pretty obvious they copied the WoW TCG

I didn't try Shadow Era, but yes they clearly took cues from WOWTCG.

I think it looks great, but like all these kinds of games it depends on how heavy the IAP is on whether I play it or not.

I've played more deckbuilder games than Collectibles, but just as a reference point for the lazy and uninitiated, this is more like Magic, right? Triumph's comment up above threw me off a little, as I'd rather play something like Ascension as opposed to Magic. That is particularly true if it's handled more like Magic the Gathering Online and less like Duel of the Planeswalkers, of which I prefer the latter.

does this require you to install anything and is the beta accessible to everybody?
heck is the beta avaiable now? chronovore make it sounds like so....

EDIT: Battle.net says i already have an account even though i don't remember ever making one (although i guess this explain all those mail about my diablo 3 account getting stolen!!1!) what i'm supposed to do now?
