I might get the LA Noire pass just because. Lol

Some really good deals though. It also says there will be a day-only April 1 sale.

One of the cases is really good. The others are pretty shitty and another has a pretty difficult achievement.

I am digging Max Payne 3 more each time I play it, though I get kind of aggressive and adrenalized so I can't play it before sleep, around kids... maybe I should replace the morning coffee with it!

Is any of the MP3 DLC worth it?

OK, I've spent an annoying hour trying to figure out how to get TOR to use an exit path in the USA, to no avail. I'll just finish the other bazillion games in my backlog, or the copy of Tomb Raider which just arrived in the mail.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WADA WALKS.

Actually, this is pretty much true for most of S-E's library. Still. LAME.

I've been thinking about it, but I'd need to walk them through the code-entry for purchases made through a new device/location, and that'd be a live phone call -- everyone I know is busy with GDC this week.

From my experience,360 doesn't like some VPNs.

This one worked
http://anonymitynetwork.com/

There is a free trial.Any email works
Start the download and then switch to normal network

There is some kind of unwritten 360 rule,"first and last 1% must be downloaded using VPN" but I've broken that rule and games work normally.

Didn't use it in a long time though

Not sure if Maxy's comment was about VPN, or the code-entry from a remote location. I tried the latter, and it worked a treat. Downloading now. TAKE MY MONEY, SQUARE-ENIX! YOU HAVE NO CHOICE! HAHAHAHAHAH!  :-\

Remote code worked for purchase. It went through, said it was added to my download queue.

I've now tried FOUR TIMES to complete the download. The last time, I watched the Guide display of the current download, it got to 80% and then stopped, displayed a quick popup Guide notification (like a Friend login or Achievement pop) which just said "Cannot download Just Cause 4."

:it-is-a-mystery.gif

I'll connect it to my router directly tomorrow via ethernet, see if it makes a difference. It's in my Download History, selecting "Download Again" is easy as pie -- just don't know why it gives up the ghost.

I think they are IP blocking you.

Downloads end now normally at 80%.Blame some shitty MS update or whatever but 80% is the new 100%(could be that the last 20% goes blazingly fast).

Use VPN
-download first 1%
-switch to normal network
-at 78% disconnect from normal network, use VPN to finish

Worked for me in the case of Ass Creed 3

Yeah, I think you're right. I just tried a wired download, which was clearly running at a much higher rate than the wireless connection. It ran up to 80%, briefly showed 100%, then immediately showed "Can't download this item" and stopped.

It makes NO SENSE why they'd do an IP addy check at the end of the download instead of the beginning, but I'd not put it past the overlapping protocols which can shape a larger company's network policy.

I appreciate your efforts. I signed up for that anonymitynetwork trial, downloaded and installed the client, and have it running on my PC. Only then did I realize that I've got to connect my Xbox through the PC as a pass-through, and there's no 2nd ethernet port, and I don't know how to connect PCs directly via wifi. At least, despite MS' best efforts at network usability, I can't suss it out in Win7 in Japanese.

I tried this, but it's different than what I've got onscreen here:
http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/console-guides/xbox-360-guides/8109-xbox-360-vpn-setup-xbox-live-buy-dlc-games-demand-japanese-market.html
That guide also mentions that MS is checking at the onset (1%) and at the finish (99%, id est 79%). This must be a change which happened after the Dead Rising XBLA games, which I purchased through someone's machine in the USA, and then "re-" downloaded them to mine.

Thanks, though! I'll download this once I get back to the USA, or can figure out how to get TOR to route exiting in USA, and then I can share my Mac's connection. Or something!  :-[

Hey, thanks again.

I could do this with a netbook we've got here; do I have to do anything special under Win7 to get the ethernet PC-to-Xbox to engage, or does it happen automatically?
