Hmmm...it actually "only" costs $99. I was expecting at least $150 when I saw that. Kinda want....but I guess there's no PC version.

Yeah, that was my issue

No, looked almost identical.

How different is steel port. Is it like stilwater sr1 -> sr2

Too hard to say, it was limited to a smallish section of the city.

Seems like it. One of the mini games I played involved using your force powers to grab cars/people/Genki heads and throw them through special markers about 20 feet off the ground. You had to complete all of them in the allotted time to get gold.

I really enjoyed Genki's presence in SR3, though I found a couple of the arenas a little difficult to navigate through. I mean, I couldn't tell where I was in relation to the exit. I know it's supposed to be a Lazer Tag style of battlefield, but there were insufficient landmarks to know how to progress, and that was annoying, whereas in Lazer Tag, there was always something to shoot at.

Sure. It's sad and backward.

At the same time, we can talk about how many AO-rated games are available in the USA.

And Germany is laughing at both of us.

Yup.

All that's missing is a government agency to deem games that have been denied a rating harmful to children's development, which, depending on what list it ends up on, could mean a complete ban on sales and even confiscation of any existing stock.

Decapitation, dismemberment, rewarding brutality, rewarding greater brutality with more points, ragdolls, etc. Are all problematic, but not always, which is the usual ratings board :derp nonsense and completely mystifying to anyone from the outside looking in. Nazi iconography is another matter entirely, but again, ratings board bullshit and :derp as far as different media go, i.e. Indiana Jones can get away with swastikas, games can't, because they're seen as being intended for children, or as making light of the past, etc.

The dumb part is they just added an 18+ rating, but it seems to be just getting what the old 15+ rating did. State of Decay was banned today as well.

The extra voice option in the game is "Nolan North" instead of zombie (or in addition to?).  Troy Baker is still just "Male 1."

This isn't really a part of the Steam sale, but if you preorder SRIV on Steam and you already have SR3, you get an extra $5 off.  So, just to recap: Not only will you get the superior PC Master Race version, you'll get it for FIFTEEN DOLLARS LESS than the dirtperson console version.  Man.  It really is like you pay an idiot tax to be console only!

http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/06/12/saints-row-iv-gameplay-demo-ign-live-e3-2013

New Saints Row 4 demo.

I dunno, I've been a fan of Saints Row since 1 and I'm not feeling this game demo. It really does look like an expansion to 3, and as much as I like 3, this looks way too similar. It doesn't really look like it deserves the name of IV and watching footage I ask myself what the point of the game is because it looks the same exact thing as 3 but with new abilities. It could also be argued this is too over the top and Volition and are getting stupid with how the series is going but the fact the game takes place in an VR environment makes things better. I dunno, I just see a desperate attempt to be wacky and very samey game play of 3. It reeks of cash grab.

Doesn't stop me from getting it but at this point in time SRIV looks like child's play compared to GTAV to me and this seals SR4 as the game I get on launch and not open until Christmas.

Footage of gameplay of the game makes it look unnecessary as a product. It's like, I could just boot up The Third and install this.

Feels pointless throwing 60 bucks at it.
