Reflecting a bit, I'm actually happy and sort of excited about the situation now. It would have been disappointing if it were really that easy to get a job as awesome as either this one, or the one I interviewed for in person at Amazon. Even though I think I did fine at Amazon, and assume it's just due to either one of the interviewers randomly not liking me or another candidate being amazing that I didn't get the job, I know that if I'd completely aced all the interviews - like I did for 1 out of 6 of them - my THAC0 would've ensured success in the face of all but the very lowest of d20 rolls. And even though I think I could've done way better in the phone interview for Windows, if my brain hadn't decided to lock up on me, the truth is that the problems were simple enough that if I had REAL badass engineering chops I could've solved them effortlessly even while in a shitty mental state (not to mention if my sleeping and eating habits didn't suck I wouldn't be in such shitty stats so often). So these experiences are just telling me that (1) the jobs I really want aren't that far from my reach but (2) I need to seriously step my game up first. CUE TRAINING MONTAGE
