In this case why would you want to pirate this game? is it not worth the low low price of $15 or is it the wait for may 1st that's making you pirate?

I'm getting an additional copy due to the amd deal, so I will give that code away to one of your when I get it.

You think Steam is the only thing that got better over time? Modern game torrents don't have all that shit. Just copy some files over and you're set.

been working at fixing this shit for hours

almost got it working tho!

for real, pirating is usually brain-dead simple nowadays, as long as the crack was done by one of a few well-known groups. just install, copy a few files from a "crack" directory, boom! free game. as long as you dont want any multiplayer or cheevs, that is.

the 3DM release worked right away, aside from the false positives.

i deleted it, just won't get around to playing my pirated copy.   uh, first 5 mins was fun.  lots of cool shit you can do.  neon everywhere.  genuinely funny lines.

and yeah the whole thing with piracy for me is the novelty of trying it early.   i rarely beat games that I pirate.  I also pirate stuff that I've bought before, particularly when I can only find it used (that's rewarding some ebayer vs. the devs)

holy shit THIS MUSIC :gladbron

game seems fun; didnt play fc3 so i dunno how it compares but its a run and gun with upgrades and stealth kills and looting. i can run around more and take more damage than other recent fps so i feel like i have a little more freedom than always ducking behind cover. i checked the map and it covers what id guess is all of fc3's are because it looks HUGE. dunno if all the missions will take you all over the island tho. cutscenes are pretty funny and look like they came out of an early 90s arcade. and like i said god DAMN this music is straight 80s action classics.

Retro themes are appealing to dudes who still have 80s cartoon figurines lying around.. or figurines in general.

Downloaded it via the usual means to test it out. I was very skeptical. Seemed like a bunch of nostalgia bullshit.

It is a bunch of nostalgia bullshit but its very charming. More than I expected it. I give it a thumbs up.

I don't have either. I just like Commando or games where the intent behind the game was to be fun.

It looks kinda neat, different from other FPSes, so I'll give it a shot.

If I buy it on Steam I don't need to install UPlay right?

You get the soundtrack if you pre-order on Steam, BUT you also have to wait until it comes out.

My reasoning for pirating it is that I have no job and can't afford it. Otherwise I would buy it on console when it came out.

Music could be a bit better... I love 80's/retro but its been done better, Hotline Miami for instance is still the gold standard when it comes to 80s beats.....
not really into Far Cry/Crysis that much. I tried playing te series but it didn't really get me hot and bothered.

I decided to pick this up on Steam. I skipped Far Cry 3 because I didn't really care for another FPS set on a tropical island, but this looks sweet and I respect that it's just a $15 stand-alone game, rather than DLC or a full-priced title. I'll post impressions when I finish it!

What I've gotten to play of this is awesome, but I made a big fucking mistake buying this on PC. I thought that this game was devoid of that uplay shit, only to find it completely ruining my experience in every possible way. It would've been easier to just get the XBLA version, or fucking PIRATE IT. SMH. SMFH. :duh

Haven't had any uplay difficulties, fortunately, except for the game not wanting to properly install until after I restarted Steam.

Anyway, this game is pretty great so far. It's got the basics of the Far Cry 3 gameplay, but they were pretty good to being with, so that's not a real problem. All the glowing neon and 80's references and story...it's just amazing.

Skipped Far Cry 3 and am not normally one for single player FPS games, but this was too good to resist and it is 80s action-move AWESOME.

I love the aesthetic, voice acting, and music.  And the cut scenes are so perfectly cheesy- like something out of a bad Sega CD game.  I love how the character sprites "walk" without animation.   :lol

Shutting down a force field generator and watching neon-streaked dinosaurs shoot laser beams at enemies, while sneaking into the base and doing chain stealth-kills during the chaos is just too awesome.  This game :bow2

Is there anything special about the gameplay here, or is it mostly the aesthetic that's attractive? I read Far Cry 3 was a solid but by the numbers open world shooter.
