Supreme Commander

So I pre ordered this game. I was a huge Total Annihilation fanatic back in the day, and when I saw this, and saw it was the same guy making it, I shit my pants with anticipation.

God I wish it were out now.

Only thing is, what's a good graphics card to run this? My graphics card barely ran Starwars Empire at war, so I'm going to need something better if I'm to enjoy this game.

Damn it assholes. I thought this was where I could find gaming magi.

The card I have in there now is a Radeon 9600 (I think). Some card that only serves to make windows look decent, and display the stock starfield screensaver.

Should I go with Nvidia, stay with Radeon? Is there a card that'll run this game well for a decent price? Forget future games, all I want to do is build my military up in Supreme Commander and commence with the blowing shit up.

The people at Best Buy are just going to try and have me buy something expensive and stupid.

Get an nVidia 6800GT. The BFG 256 MB one is about $180 -- maybe even less. Fry's should have loads of 'em.

We were rollin' around the redwoods today and stumbled upon the offices of Gas Powered Games. I wanted to go in, grab the secretary, demand to see the CEO and ask him what's taking so long.

What does ati do better than nvidia?
