American sandwiches don't look very nice as a general rule.

There's an obsession with cramming huge wodges of meat between I appealing looking bits of bread.

It's probably high time for the good ole US of A to press reset and go back to the Presbyterian basics their forefathers were so good at: genocide, banning children's laughter and inbreeding.

Pulled pork.  It's kind of like talking about whose better, Lebron or Kobe.  Of course it's LeBron, but Kobe is in the same discussion because a lot of people are dumb.

Peanut butter and banana:

Elvis Presley apparently liked to butter up the bread and then grill it, for additional calories.

Yeah, you can't just make a peanut butter and banana sandwich and NOT fry that fucker.  COME ON NOW.

They're also really good with honey as a sweetener.

Alternately, I've heard that Elvis used to do them "Monte Cristo style," so dipped in egg batter and then fried, a la French Toast/pain perdu.

I must admit, I've never tried either method. Toast is plenty good.

We actually tried that once; made the sandwich, smooshed it a little so it held together nicely, and dipped it in french toast batter...

... and served with vermont fancy syrup...

I make peanut butter sandwiches with an inch thick layer of peanut butter.  Just one slice of bread mind you - don't want it getting in the way of the peanut butter.  I also get the cheapest bread possible.  Like the Safeway brand that you can't really taste.  I just need a vessel to hold the peanut butter.

I would post a picture but there doesn't seem to be a picture online of anything that accurately illustrates what I do.

EDIT Found one!

Also, creamy peanut butter only.

I was reintroduced to P&J sandwiches over the last few months, due to babysitting some cousins; they love them. I don't see how anyone can hate on them tbh. I'm not saying they're the greatest thing ever, but it's a nice snack meal. Quick, easy, tasty, etc. Maybe it would suck if you use white bread but I only fuck with the good stuff: whole wheat bread. Add some generic market jelly and easy creamy Jiffy peanut butter and you have yourself a nice lunch.

I just like the slight sweet taste of Silk. Never been a big milk guy.

And I love Subway bread. If I had to rate my favorite breads it would probably be something like

1. Olive Garden breadsticks
2. Subway wheat bread
3. French bread

I can get some pretty good soy milk in Japan, but not chocolate.
