I just bought the game 2 hours ago and spent those two duking out with my little and not as geeky yet brother. It's pretty good, there seems to be tons to do which is what I like about Netherrealm Studios. MK9 was fantastic and this is shaping up to be as well.

i don't know anything about the comics, but based on my attempts to get into them as a kid, Marvel always seemed to have the more diverse and interesting universe + stories.

yeah, umvc3 is about as far as i've gone, aside from the whole Infinity War thing.  even then I don't know shit about like dormammu, rocket raccoon, x23, etc.   i wanna check out some really early marvel comics too.

Why can't super heroes have, like, a super power. Like spider man has his spider sense and can shoot web or whatever, cyclops can shoot eye beams, magnito can fiddle metal without touching it, etc.

Injustice pools replacing marvel pools!      Can't say it isn't deserved, ChrisG has won that much and he'll win this.   Pools often suck because of low level play, top 4 often sucks because it's the same people...there's a sweet spot for marvel these days in late pools/top 8 until all the interesting players are out.  It's turning into AE where it's not interesting at a pure East or pure West tourney, but exciting when top players from both sides are there (well, AE is only interesting to me when international players are there, but you get the comparison.)

btw, I tried the demo and it's awesome.  I'm in there for sure.  Feels way better than MK9.  Even in a few minutes of playing I could see that. 

Frame data in move lists, the ability to pin a move or combo to the screen while you play--it's like fighting game developers are starting to think of the players.  What next, showing hit boxes in something other than replays from matches you've played online in UMVC3 Vita?

I got just about everything else unlocked already.  Glad that they made it much easier to unlock alts compared to MK.

MK 2011 has been a mainstay at tournaments since it came out, with UMK3 arcade being the "main" MK before that.  I wouldn't say it gets the snub from the hardcore community.

huh, I was reading at 3am and it sounded difficult, I guess I misread.   as for on-disc, I always felt bad for people with shitty bandwidth caps who prob liked the idea.

I think I still hate the wager system, but I'm not sure I totally understand how it works yet.  I'm on board with interactables now, but they're basically impossible to react to online, since there's big input delay, even with healthy ping.  Online needs a patch, as usual.
