I NEED WINDOWS, HALP

I know I could Google shit and all that, but you guys are DA PROS when it comes to OS related shit.

Basically I need to learn a Windows only application ASAP and produce some good work very quickly, so I can prove I've got the chops for some potential game dev contracts.

I'm running an Intel iMac with 2GB of RAM (if that means anything). I've got a bootcamp partition with a (now useless) Win8 beta installed. I'm planning on nuking it and doing a fresh Win7 install.

I was just wondering if you guys know whats the best and cheapest way to get Win7. I don't have a dime to spend really but fully need Windows and shit.

(If someone has a spare key lying around I will be forever grateful and in your debt)

i can get you something to activate a windows 7 installer but you will have to get the windows portion yourself.

It's too bad they took down the old Windows 7 student deal as far as I can tell as that was a lot cheaper.

Note that for my link it's the upgrade and not the full version. With Windows 7 you could do a fresh install with only the upgrade due to Microsoft's incompetence/generosity (not sure which) but I'm not sure if that still works with 8.

Another thing to look at might be to see if you or someone you know has DreamSpark premium access. I think they have Win 7 keys.

You can install win7 and you get 30 days to activate it. Look on ebay for people selling their computer and check the pics to see if you can read a cd sticker and use that to activate it.

OH MY GOD I just wasted 4 hours downloading and updating and burning disc images, I found out my Mac actually cant update to mountain lion so I cant update bootcamp so I cant install Windows 8. Windows 7 it is!
