i'm starting to hope it never comes out so that i don't have to hear about how JRPG are dead when it get released and it turns out it's not an open-world MMO like game

Not quite, but it's getting there. And you can probably expect a product of similar quality when, or if, it actually is released.

FF13-2 got released a year ago and who knows when lightining returns get released,there is FF14 but that seems to making a bankrupcy more likely than the other way around so i'm not sure this really hold true

still rather than take a break from FF they should... you know... announce more games? i mean they've done a bajillion of kingdom hearts spinoff just to fluff you for the eventual kingdom hearts 3,surely by now that ps4 already got announced it would be time to... you know... actual do it no?

well it just seems logical that they are developing kingdom hearts 3 on something
though logic isn't really part of square-enix so i guess it's probably wishful thinking

They're also working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but you're probably not going to get to play that any time soon.

they don't need a "break" as a whole company...that doesn't make sense. They need someone to come up with a good Final Fantasy game that isn't off on some bullshit tangent like as the 3rd sequel to a so-so game or an mmo. The series still gets passes just for the title, imagine if they made a legit good one that people speak positively about.

and i'm not sure what criteria people rate MMOs on, but I had the exact same experience with Guild Wars 1 like 50 years ago as I did with XIV

Also just like the beginning of WoW as well. I don't know who the game is aimed at, other than really hardcore FF fans who would care about an MMO.

HAHA. I ain't even mad. SMT4 this summer. Final Fantasy is dead. At least I have remakes of old games and neat would be CGI trailers!
