How do I get money? Do I just sell stuff?
Also how do I repair weapons?

You get money by selling goodies.

You repair weapons with a staff that you can find. I wouldnt concern yourself with repairing weapons.

Don't worry about repairing weapons, just buy new ones when they run out.

You sell items, most importantly the "Bullion" enemies drop. Their description is "sell for as high as 1000/5000/10000," and that's their only use.

Btw, I highly recommend playing on Classic/Normal. Even if you're new to the series, Normal's challenge takes a quick nosedive.

So is there a point in forging? I put some points into Chrom's Rapier and the main chara's Thunder... Which will get lost when the weapons run out.

Honestly, no. You just pay money to add 1 might point (iirc) for a weapon that runs out as you've said. Personally, I've ignored completely... but then again I stupidly chose to play on normal.

It's good if you have a character that can only wield Class E weapons, so you can buy a cheap weapon and pump it up a bit so they can deal a little bit of damage. Money's not really a big deal later in the game, so you afford to waste a few hundred gold.

That's a good point. Temporarily buffing you're rarely used characters in a pinch is a good idea sometimes.

No it's not. You get a gazillion characters in this game, stop using them all. Pick a set and roll. Forging is pretty useless on Normal.

Awakening is fun to mess around with on Normal/Hard. Just use who you want and enjoy yourself.
