He's one of my favorite guitarists of all time and is one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar. I'm legitimately gutted. I'm happy that I got to see him perform live before he died. It was amazing and now I'll cherish that moment even more.

Jeff Hanneman, Slayer's guitarist, died today. RIP. I thought I was "into metal" as a kid due to listening to Metallica (starting with MoP), Korn and some Black Sabbath, then I listened to a Midnight Metal program on the radio and heard thrash metal and was all 

Most thrash is still too whoa for me overall, but I liked Reign in Blood.
