As a Liverpool fan I'll be GLAD to see him step down as he was so damn good for Man Utd, and a fucking expert at winding other fans up. There's no shame in admitting he is amongst the very best managers the league has ever seen though, probably even up there with the likes of our Shanks and Paisley. No doubt he'll be remembered as fondly by Utd fans as we do them, anyway.
Any Utd fans here? Who do you want to replace him?
People elsewhere are sounding wary of Moyes, but he's done very well at Everton with very little money and made them into a team that has (in all likelihood) finished above Liverpool consecutively for the first time in 50 years. They are a team that should have challenged more seriously for Europe this year. He might not have the trophies, but Ferguson went from 74 to 83 before having European success with Aberdeen, nearly 10 years. I'd be interested to see how Moyes would do with a solid team and some good money behind him.
Mourinho is causing a stir in Spain again at the moment, lots of talk of him losing the dressing room -- it's probably a deliberately engineered soap opera so he can leave Real Madrid in faux-chaos and avoid severance fees at the end of the season - but that's the side of him I find a little volatile. He talks a good talk about wanting a team that'll give him time, but does he really have the personal loyalty himself?
How about Klopp or someone? Brendan Rodgers?
