Stards like tjhooker are jizzing themselves over at OA about the ps2>360 numbers, but why shouldn't a $129 system (with hundreds of good, cheap games available) outsell a $400 system? Fuck, I bought one recently myself because they're so damned cheap. Casual videogame consumers care about two things, and two things only when choosing a system: hardware price, and games. At $129, and used games averaging around $10-$15, there's really no reason not to own a ps2.

Price plays more of a part in sales reality than fanboys living in a fantasy videogame world care to admit. Those small stacks of PS3s everyone's been seeing at Best Buy/Circuit City are going to triple in size come March.

I am neither Sfag, Xbot, or Ntard. With the recent purchase of the Gamecube from Wobedraggled, I own every current system available minus PS3 and Wii. I just like good games, and decent prices. $400 was my limit for the newest systems. Once PS3 hits that and has a decent library, I will probably make that jump. Once Wii gets some real games under its belt and Nintendo figures out that people might like to play an online game or two, I will probably jump on that as well.

The awesome thing about the PS2 is that it seemingly has an infinite amount of quality games to play. I still have a list of 30+ games I need to buy.

And with it selling like gangbusters, it should still get some decent support-especially since everyone wants to port stuff to the Wii.

At this rate I won't need to buy into next gen until 2008.

Fucking awesome NPD. FUCKING AWESOME. All the systems that should have done well based on value, did.

360 = Far and away the best next gen option right now. Sells more than the other two next gen consoles combined!

PS2 = Very affordable and a great library. Deserves all the success it's having.

DS and PSP = Good handhelds that aren't much like each other at all, they each give me a unique experience.

While the overpriced Blu-Ray box and the Gamecube Turbo eat shit. Fucking awesome.
