Either the middle eighth or when a variety of seemingly disparate harmonies all mesh together in a song to create true aural beauty.

What do you folks think about songs that have a great exciting buildup to a chorus that turns out to be lame?
How about songs that have a pretty catchy hook in the chorus so they think it's ok for the verses to be all limp wankery?
What should we do to those who knowingly foist such music on the innocent public?  :maf

this chorus is too much for its verses:

but then the chorus leads into a weird solo that goes into a pretty cool slower part, so i dunno

Songs that have a building feeling and never ever deliver are the worst. They build intensity, but never explode into song-gasm like you expect them to.
ok.
