...as long as you sign in on your profile on your friend's console.

We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what we’ve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.

Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.

Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile.

Should you choose to enter this outlandish scenario in which you interact with your friends outside xbox live

Kind of how they deal with XBL digital downloads already, but now for disc games..

not really the point though, the precedent of this is just horrible. The publishers backing this (if its not all of them) should be boycotted to death. ;)

Haha. You can play the game on your friends xbox if you SIGN IN. How long will the gamer tag recovery take? As long as the current one? We had a 360 set up in the college student room and anytime my friend and I wanted to play a xbla fighting game like street fighter 3 or whatever we'd have him long into his account and it'd take five or ten minutes before he recovered the account, and that was after the first time when we had to dl the game.

So it is basically THAT but with physical discs and instead of dling it has to install.

Only one profile can be signed in at a time.
24 hour checks

You could probably game the system, but it would be more trouble than what it's worth.

Nick, it is account based. Whether there's a universal account or single user accounts I'm not sure.

As dumb as this is, there is no such thing as gamertag recovery anymore. You just log in. Takes 2 seconds.
