thank you
i am celebrating it by reading old District X comics wherein Bishop is sent to patrol a mutant ghetto based in manhattan with his hispanic partner whose life is falling apart. reading it now, i'm amazed it lasted 14 issues. this is some grim comics (marriage falling apart, amphetamine addiction, fucked up racism). not GRIMDARK but more realistic (well, comic "realistic") in depicting some of the situations. does not hold a candle to Gotham Central and I think that it backs off the Heat of the Night type race relations you can tell that Hines wants to talk about in exchange for easier tales. Not a bad work from the guy who would go on to bring us Bulletproof Coffin.
