The FFVII characters were adapted from Amano's designs, weren't they? Also, the tech wasn't goo enough for ridiculous amounts of superfluous details. Indistinguishable puppet faces just seem to be the mainstream character design thing to do.

Would it? Which KH game was fun to play? The janky 1st one or the simplistic 2nd? Maybe BBS?

Not to say this will be fun, game looks kind of bad either. Especially since I bet the Lightning XIII-2 DLC is probably a good indication of how this will play.
