Soul Reaver is a fucking amazing game, but it's the only one I've played.

I've always been interested in the rest but I never got the chance to try em out. So...they're good? I hear mixed reactions.

omg, SR2 is great, so is defiance.

SR2 has 10x better puzzles than the first *goodbye block pushing* and Defiance has really fun combat.

Add to all of that the awesome epic story with lots of plot twists and youre set!

I'd say the original Soul Reaver was one of the best looking psx games, if not THE best.

SR2 loooks osooo good and 60fps. Avoid Blood Omen 2 tho, while the backstore on Kain is nice, its a shit game. BO1,SR,SR2,LoK:Defiance are all ya need

nope, halfway through, im usually playing 3-4 games in a rotation, I have trouble doing one thing at once. Even when im doing something im usually doing two other things haha.

Yeah man same here. It's AWESOME. That's what keeps me into games. I play 4 or so games at once, right? One night I play one, the next night I play another, and then the 3rd night a different one. Then like the next week I play one game exclusively and shit, and then switch it up.

I thought the first one was an incomplete mess. I remember being impressed by the voice acting. I got about 75% of the way through and quit. Even with the upgrades to your character, the fighting got too monotonous.

Which one of the PS2 versions should I try?

PSOne one rocked, the ending was great. Catch up on the story and Start with SR2.

I need to play through the series...I remember playing through Blood Omen when I was younger and liking the gameplay somewhat (and the setting more or less). Now that my PSP can act as PSX emulator...Soul Reaver here I gooooo

The storyline for the LoK series isnt over but the lady that did a lot of the story for the series left CD. But at least CD is doing Tombraider games now. And those are actually good now. But I want another LoK game on next gen hardware.
