Looks good.  More of the same looking though.  Doesn't have a "hook" that makes it unique from the first one so far.  Then again it's not Kamiya so I'm not expecting it to be as excellent as the original.  As long as this dude doesn't screw up what made it good, I'll take Bayo-expansion-pack for a high price.

After a quick look at the in game footage, I doubt combat is going to be much more than mashing while giant demons scarf up your enemies. That might be entertaining, but I'm not blowing $350 on a console to play it.

But that was Kamiya and we all saw what happened with Devil May Cry 2.

Still, Platinum has better quality control than Capcom, so at worst it'll probably be Madworld/Anarchy Reigns quality combat.

Going by what I saw on the trailer, it looked more like "mash attack to juggle every enemy in a 10 yard range, followed up by a finisher that hits nearly the entire screen".

I'm not saying that's good or bad, but it's very different from the first game.

Come on, now.  Bayo's hair isn't short because the WiiU is lacking power.  If that were the case, Jeanne wouldn't have super-long hair.  Kamiya's taking credit for it, and he's not a guy known to lie to cover anyone's asses, even if the truth with get him in shit.  This is just Kamiya trying to refine his fetish girl, something he's been working on since RE2.

At any rate, I'm more hopeful for this than with DMC2, not only because Platinum has semi-competent quality control, but also because Kamiya has a considerably more active role in B2 than he did in DMC2.  Also, unlike Capcom, Platinum doesn't have a ton of other franchises to fall back on.  Bayo's really been the only original IP they've made that has sold passable numbers.  They really need this game to do well, and, well, it won't, but from Platinum's perspective they're probably going to give it their hardest as a result. 

I'd say it's highly likely the performance of TW101 and B2 will determine Platinum's ultimate fate.  If these two don't do well, Platinum are probably going to have to survive by taking jobs working on other people's IP.  If that happens, I'd bet Kamiya would wander off before too long, and then Platinum wouldn't really have much of anything.
