This is the first I've heard of Front Mission being a Final Fantasy title.

Also, Front Mission 4 sucked.  And 5 was never officially translated.

4 wasn't that bad from the little I played.  But yeah, I'm kinda bitter 5 wasn't translated but not so bitter enough to resent Square. The fucked that up themselves when they made the meta-plot pointless since they cut most of that out of the English translation IIRC.

If they cut the grind and made party members for XI and XIV and re-released them as "FFXI/XIV: Offline" I'd probably buy them as sad as that is. XII was just XI: Offline already, wasn't it?

Yep. XII is easy money to "HD"-ize. The rest need massive reworks and I have no faith in Square doing them competently despite me wanting a (my great shame) FF8 remake.  :'(
