Cliffy is right in the sense that people are making it sound like Mattrick has been murdered in the digital realm, but in reality he is doing something the average person cannot do: fall upwards. You might say "bubbububu Zynga is a burning ship!" and you'd be right...but he's going to be their CEO. He'll make even more money and bail out with a golden parachute when the shit finally hits the fan.

In short, I'm not going to laugh at Mattrick, he won. I'm going to laugh at MS because they lost.

Mattrick did good at his job, right? wasn't he the top guy when Kinect gave 360 its second wind?

I mean, he's off-putting on stage but so are most people; except Peter Moore, like the time he ruined that Rock Band demo and didn't give a shit. After he left MS should've hired a washed up actor like the guy from avatar or hulk hogan to host public events.

Some of those ideas were cool. 7 years later and Steam is kinda doing it with workshop, but I don't know if you can sell your creations. Maybe next gen we'll see the lofty promises come true, like 720p.
