So Catherine is on PSN+ for free. After the Atlus news and previous interest in the title before the hype died down coming back I finally started playing it.
I've just passed Stage Four: The Inquisition. I love this game, arcadey puzzle game with a story you can explore further through hang out moments. I love arcade games, puzzle games, hang out moments in stories, mind fucks and weird horror. This game is full of them and it's story is actually interesting. I really enjoy the puzzles as I feel they are both simple yet elegant and the right kind of challenging. The bosses are creepy and awesome as fuck, the pacing is very good for a game that has a good amount of cutscenes and very different gameplay elements. This is the sort of Japanese game I've been looking to play for a while.
I'm assuming there won't be any sequels or spiritual successors due to sales and Atlus' troubles? I would like something like this to come along in the future. In the mean time I'm thinking I'm going to 100% this.
