The best joke in the game is setup and paid off by Claptrap. When he can't proceed during the first big mission to kill the captain because of stairs.
Then during the last mission with him he can't proceed because of stairs.

The hate for Tiny Tina is silly because you deal with her in the main game for all of 1 mission and 1 optional mission. Despite how much Gearbox pushed her in the marketing (and later the DLC), she's really kinda there and gone.

I'm surprised that there isn't more hate for Moxxi since Gearbox pushes her onto you way more often and devote an odd amount of time trying to flesh out her backstory and characterization. Meanwhile characters from the first game (Dr. Zed, Marcus, etc) just kinda exist without any pay off or focus.

I think they did a much better job fleshing out the world of Pandora in BL2. It seems like they had no idea what to do with the original 4 characters so they whipped up personalities for them on the fly. But they did a much better job with the new characters, especially with the ECHO backstories.

Jack is pretty awesome though, he gives no fucks.
