I don't get people holding out hope for 2K. Yeah, honestly it WAS better than Madden, but that was forever ago...not even sure2k would make an NFL game at this point if they could. They got stomped when there game was what...20 bucks?

It's even funnier seeing people think they'd dip their toe in CFB at this point. Doubt the market could even support two games for either.

I think competition would really drive madden/NCAA to improve...but am not holding my breath. the one consolation is that EA is less crap than they used to be. FIFA keeps a fire lit when PES hasn't really been a threat in ages.

I only tend to buy one or two sports titles per gen anyway lol.

Would be awesome if this gave EA some freedom to play around with shady recruiting in future games.

When I heard this news originally, I thought EA wasn't renewing the license for financial reasons. But the reality is, EA is trying to distance itself from the NCAA and the impending litigation against the NCAA.

didn't the 2K non-NFL current gen football game disappoint, commercially and critically?

nobody bought me and only remembers NFL 2K5.
