Are Final Fantasy names ok for a baby
« on: July 20, 2013, 09:04:51 AM »
Names like Sand or ripple or warmfront.

I like names like these but I thing they could become a valid reason for divorce in the future.

Nature inspired names aren't uncommon. I'm not sure Cloud is that much worse than Ash, Autumn, Bear, Clementine, Dawn, Flora, Forrest, Holly or Willow.

Or is this thread some kind of meta commentary of the other thread?

Apparently, it's not Bear Grylls's given name but there are a few others. It's more common in its Scandinavian form, Bjorn/Bjørn/Björn.

15 babies per million. I hope this data is misrepresentative!

In a non-Final-Fantasy related note, apparently for years now - lots of parents who want to call their baby Max are actually calling them Maximus. And its not that they just they like latin names, they're actually naming their kids after Russell Crowe. I can't decide if I love or hate that.

If they named him just Max people will end up calling him Maxim us anyway, at least that's been my experience

If I have a daughter, I'm naming her Herpes McDickrot.  Boom, all potential problems with her dating or having sex solved.

Not really.  :kobeyuck

It has history...bunch of John Locke's.  Locke could work as a first name.

Better than every dude's name in Final Fantasy history...other than Leon.
