"TRICK OR TREAT!" the group of children gaily screamed, bedecked in their gory plastic masks and tattered dimestore shrouds. "GIVE US SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT!" they pleaded, brandishing their sacks, showing him what was already inside, as they stood at the foot of his bed.

His father looked down and smiled for a moment, then tilted the shaker into the pot of vegetables he was stirring.

Just when it seemed like all of it's strength was used up and it would never escape, sunlight unexpectedly poured over it's body as it finally tore away the last layer of the host's skin.
