How many characters are there? I'm seeing lopsided odds that make me feel people have already familiarized themselves with the roster. Having said that, its pretty addicting. You get $400 upon signing up and a minimum of $10 at all times... Unless you pay real money that is, in which case you get min or $1000.

It's MUGEN. So as many as there are stars in the universe, basically.

You have better odds salty betting at Evo and other fighting game/non-MUGEN AI matches.

I'm aware of what MUGEN is and what it can do, but it's still up to the curator how many characters are there. I only asked because the chat had someone people who were familiar with some characters today 'cause there were already repeats.

There may be a limit to Salty Bets roster, but I wouldn't put it past them to throw some new characters in later to avoid repeats.

Yeah, there's repeats. THough there's like a hundred DBZ and Kens so its hard to remember which sprite is the winner and which sprite is the lame one. Last night, I saw Bison like three times. (An actual bison with M. Bisons hat on its head.) So you will get repeats and then you'll get crazy things you've never seen before.

Just saw a match with Ash from Evil Dead vs some animu-looking chick named Remilia. Chick had like a tiny sliver of health left and did some move, then her health bar filled back up and she won the match on the timer. Someone on the chat said it was a resurrection ability, which I consider just straight-up cheating. I was all, "Welp, fuck this site, and fuck this MUGEN thing."

You missed Grover vs DBZ. Grover chipped away and then the DBZ character pulls off some uberblast and takes out 80% of Grover's health. Match went five rounds, with Grover winning on an Oscar the Grouch assist.

i think they adjust the odds for when some character are super broken,i saw a match that was toki from FOTNS vs some dragon thing and the dragon thing was unbeatable and the odds were like 0 for dragon and infinity for toki

Salty Bet is a lot better when you're betting on pro players in fighting game tournaments than this MUGEN AI battles.

that became the eventual point of Mugen (I remember the days it was about having a true "dream match" with characters that usually would have been impossible)

The best reactions are when you get some personalized character that busts out a crazy super. My favorites are Shaq dunking people through a hoop, Robocop's "Protect and Serve", and Ghetto Warmachine making it rain.

If there was an iOS app for this I'd never get anything done. I saw a match between TMNT's Leonardo and Superman, Leonardo jumped up and disappeared a few rounds and the chat exploded
