McNabb argued RG3 was in the spotlight too much coming off the injury, talking too much instead of preparing for the season (in the limited fashion he could). I think RG3 will be fine (until he inevitably gets injured again) this season but expectations were indeed raised too high.

The two fanbases with the most unrealistic expectations every single year are Cowboys fans and Redskins fans.  Watching these two fanbases come to grips with the fact that their teams are mediocre every year is one of the things I love about football.

Who are the Iggles back up qbs now?  If Chip Kelly is as smart as he's supposed to be, he's stocked up on a couple of other dudes that can run that kind of offense and told Nick Foles to fuck off.

Next time (yes, there will be a second time) he needs to be suspended for half a season. Maybe that will convince our damn coach that this shit isn't acceptable.

The most depressing thing about watching the Browns play this weekend was then having to watch the Green Bay/S.F. immediately afterwords. It was a stunning reminder of what an NFL game is supposed to look like. The precision, the speed and the execution.

Sources: Sanchez has labral tear

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is "likely to have surgery" that would end his 2013 season after Dr. James Andrews confirmed Wednesday he has a labral tear in his right shoulder, according to team and league sources, as well as a source close to Sanchez.

Sanchez was still trying to make a final decision on whether to have the surgery now to repair the tear and instability in the shoulder following his injury in the team's third preseason game, the sources said.

Sanchez could opt to rehab the shoulder in an effort to play at some point this season, sources said, but still likely would need surgery at the end of the year. A source close to the quarterback said it would make no sense for Sanchez to delay the inevitable under the circumstances of the injury and the team's commitment to rookie Geno Smith.

Sanchez, who saw Dr. Andrews in Gulf Breeze, Fla., is expected to make the decision on surgery within the next day or two, sources said.

Nah. We actually have a QB so I'm not worried about that. Bring in a new offensive coordinator too, to fix Stafford's mechanics and bring some variety to things; our offense is so predictable.

Alright guys, week 2 QB -- Cam Newton or Eli Manning? I feel like Newton is bound to have a bounce back week, but Eli vs Peyton has got to be a QB battle this week, right? My gut says Cam and that's probably what I'll do but I'd hate to watch Eli do so well on my bench again...

Eli normally follows up his stink games with a really good game. Also, you know the Broncos will be scoring, so Eli will keep throwing. Cam has Rivera as a coach and is playing the Bills in Buffalo. I would take Eli.

Cam gives you consistent points even if his team will shit the bed.  Eli can go for 40 but could also go for like 10.  So its whether you want to risk it for potential points, or stick with a consistent 25~ points.

It may not show up on the box score but Suh is destroying the Cardinals right now. Just forced an interception (for a TD) by blowing up the Cardinal's o-line and rushing Palmer into a bad throw.

Brandon Pettigrew needs to be fucking cut, end of story. We cannot afford having a TE who constantly drops passes, especially when we have a surprisingly good rookie (Joseph Fauria) in the wings.

And I say again, fire this head coach. Last week there was a story about players decided to punish themselves during practice by running extra laps, to deter penalties. The players had to discipline themselves because the coach doesn't see this recklessly stupid play as a problem. What did Belicheck do to Stephen Ridley after his fumble in the Pat's first game? He sat his dumb ass for most of the game. Why isn't Pettigrew being sat, why isn't Willie Young being sat, etc. This shit has to stop.

We lost to a bad team. Missed a FG, had one blocked. We had the ball and three time outs with a minute to go in the first half and did NOTHING. We should be 2-0 with a chance at 3-0 given how bad Washington looks right now.

6-10, just watch. At least that will ensure Schwartz gets fired, and I hope to GOD Mayhew gets fired as well given his horrible draft selections. We traded up to take a RB in the second round (in 2011), guess what he's doing now? Inactive, not even playing, apparently going to get traded. A total waste of a pick, that we traded up to get! Meanwhile the team cut three former draft picks this off season.

Nah I think this is put up or shut up time, based on what reporters around here have said. Last season was a disaster, and a follow up would at least end Schwartz's tenure. Mayhew might stay...

Collinsworth was hilarious earlier. Kapernick makes ONE COMPLETION and he's all "Oh man Kaep is the real deal, lemme suck his monster dong." Then he blows it in the red zone and has to rely on his kicker to score some points for them.

Yup. It's like Collsworth and many other commentators have a pre written script ready when certain players do something good, regardless of the situation. Praising Peyton Manning non-stop is one thing, because he fucking deserves it. But Kap is playing pretty meh, and yet he automatically started the COMEBACK I TOLD YOU THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN train.

The lack of Kendall Hunter until the 4th hurt. Gore just couldn't get anything going.

Feel like the game will be the total opposite in San Fran later this year.

Also, Seattle fans. :rolleyes
